I started Champion Bookkeeping because I kept meeting business owners who were stuck between two bad options: freelancers who disappeared mid-engagement, or established firms that charged $800 a month for work that didn't require it. There had to be something in between.
Before launching Champion, I spent years doing full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll for a Canadian accounting firm — corporations, sole proprietors, nonprofits, everything from simple monthly reconciliations to complex multi-entity payroll with accelerated CRA remittances. I've seen what goes wrong when books are neglected, and I've seen how much easier life gets when they're handled properly.

Champ oversees all final deliverables before they leave the office. His review process is thorough — he's been known to sit on a keyboard mid-reconciliation until every line item meets his standards. No P&L ships without his approval.
Specialties include payroll oversight, deadline enforcement, and ensuring no one works past dinner. He takes his role seriously and would like you to know that the practice is, in fact, named after him.
